. . .it has always been the ‘purity’ of the coast that keeps things honest
While the current trend of anglers pushing their skiffs over to the offshore islands in pursuit of big calicos in pristine and un-tapped waters, the roots of inshore bass fishing is just that, ‘In-Shore’. The foundation and building blocks of the SWBA is based on events held along our coastline from Santa Barbara to San Diego. It wasn’t until last season that the boundaries for a ‘Land-Based’ event included Catalina and Santa Barbara islands. And while SWBA has gone from costal events with boundaries, to lifting those boundaries, and back again . . . it has always been the ‘purity’ of the coast that keeps things honest. Small skiffs can run neck & neck with ‘the big boys’ and everyone is on the same level. In the past we’ve seen teams break-down at the starting line, only to place in the top 3 fishing on trolling motor for 8 hours. These are the type of stories and the reason you will always see coastal events in the SWBA schedule.All tournaments within the series are ‘Open Tournaments’ that may also be fished individually or fish all 5 events earn points to qualify for the Elite Championship and Anglers of The Year Award.
REGISTRATION – Please follow these steps in order to register your team for the 2016 SWBA Tournament Series.
- Print two copies (1 per angler) of the Waiver and Release Form from the Downloads page.
- Each angler must complete and sign a copy of the form.
- Scan and e-mail us your signed forms or mail the completed forms to the address below by Wednesday before the event. (only once per year)
- Pay your Entry & Membership fees online through our PayPal button or Mail in your check or money order. Payment needs to be received by the Wednesday before the event.
Please make checks or money orders payable to Salt Water Bass Anglers. Write your team’s name on your check/money order and mail to:
